Production Update: Curtain
I am happy to report that my latest little movie is finished and ready for exhibition. Well, there is the little matter of burning it onto DVD, but otherwise, production is complete on Curtain.
To be honest, since the entire film is a single, continuous take, the movie has been done pretty much since I selected the take I would be using. But then there has been the matter of mixing the soundtrack, which was surprisingly difficult to get just right, and then adding all of the proper credits. The premier for the cast and crew will take place on April 10th, which seems far away now, but there are some logistics involved in getting the DVD’s made. Though I can’t wait for everyone who worked on it to see how it came out. Until then, I wanted to take the time to give my thanks to all the hard work and dedication from everyone:
Vik - Who pointed out we had no excuses to not make a movie. This wouldn’t exist without you.
Mike - For the always beautiful images, and making my blocking look better than I deserve.
Sam - For not laughing for the rest of the takes.
Juliana - For the most beautiful eyes in showbiz.
Kelly - For really wanting Blanche with that patronizing nod.
Joy - For the long commute in the rain.
Katie - For taking the small part after reading with everyone we auditioned.
Darryl - For dealing with the longest speach ever written
Merlin - For just being you.
Michael - For talking to us in Sundance.
Matt - My brother.
Mondo - For coming in on your day off to listen to traffic.
Galen - For the dedication to assume any job we needed from you.
…and of course…
To my Family for the enduring support.
I love you all.
