Life After Curtain
Hello my friends. I apolgize for the long space between postings. Since the completion of Curtain, life has been incredibly busy. We held the cast premiere screening a couple weeks ago, and I was very pleased with everyone’s reaction. Overall, I think it turned out to be a good little movie, so I was anxious to show it to everyone. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to make another one soon.
If you check out my Fiction section, you’ll see the new short story “Johnny Nosebleed”, which is a kind of companion piece to
Curtain. It is something that I hope to soon translate into another short film. After the positive experience on this last film, I have entertained the notion of making a follow up with these characters, which certainly has its possibilities. “Johnny Nosebleed” will be a step in that direction. Plus, it will be fun doing a comedic piece after such a dramatic one. I’ll post more on this as the situation develops.
Also in the future projects arena, keep an eye out for The Adventures of Merlin and Spunky and perhaps even a music video for The Modlins, which I have been promising Matt and Eric to get working on for the longest time now.
And on a final note, I wanted to give my congratulations to Christina Morales Hemenway, who premiered her film Dreammaker this past weekend, which I thought to be a great success. Beyond the forgettable drunken extra work by yours truly, it featured my good friend Katie Cleese as well as the song “You Were the One That I Always Wanted” by The Modlins, which (in case you thought I forgot) is our Song of the Week.
